Following a brief spell lecturing in further education, Jim has been working in design and marketing for far too long, over thirty years in fact. He established New Century Design in Chard during 1994, before the move to posh new premises on the Dillington Estate in 2005. With an overview of client activity and their marketing objectives, he's able (on a good day) to provide a crystal clear perspective on projects past and present.
A healthy obsession with the 'other' pier, Birnbeck, at Weston-super-Mare, together with a dedication to Weymouth FC, sets Gavin apart. Trained as a Graphic Designer and worked on the design side of the print industry for 12 years, in Dorset and Devon, he joined New Century in 2007. During his career, Gavin has fulfilled a number of creative, administrative roles including a four year stint as Studio Manager in Exeter, where he was responsible for art direction, workflow and recruitment.

With over 18 years' experience in design and print, specialising in Concept Development, Typographic Design, Annual
Reports and Corporate Identity, Darren is well placed to answer questions on this too! His extensive knowledge of print
and web production enables him to ensure the quality of creative work is carried through to the finished result.
Our latest addition to the creative team is Verity Lowry. Equipped with a First Class Honours Degree in Photography and an
MA in Digital Media, Verity is well placed to carry out her role as Design and Marketing Coordinator. Brought up in
Cornwall, Verity has worked for some years in London in design and education. Although all her family are very artistic
she is, sadly, not able to claim ancestry to 'LS Lowry' famous for his depictions of life in the industrial north.
Verity's previous work includes the recent commission to re-design the Cheltenham Film Festival website
